Tricel Sewage Treatment Plant Problem & Solution
Sewage treatment plants in Essex are becoming increasingly more popular as they provide homeowners with a modern alternative to septic tank systems for areas without access to mains drainage. As leading independent installers and service providers for Essex sewage treatment plants, Mantair is ideally placed to provide Essex homeowners with a sewage treatment plant to meet their site requirements, or provide the expertise required for assessing septic tank problems.
Throughout rural areas of Essex, many properties, both domestic and commercial are not serviced by mains drainage for the disposal of waste water. As leading independent installers of sewage treatment plants and septic tanks we provide Essex homeowners with a sewage treatment system to meet their budget and site requirements.
At this property in Essex we installed and commissioned a sewage treatment plant to replace a failed septic tank system. The ageing septic tank had been discharging to a watercourse for several years and the homeowners wanted to replace the tank with a modern sewage treatment plant.
After a detailed survey was conducted, we recommended the installation of six person Tricel Novo packaged sewage treatment plant; this being in accordance with the British Water Flows and Code of Practice for sizing small sewage treatment plants.
Due to the site restrictions and to minimise the disturbance to the garden it was decided to install the new sewage treatment plant in the same location as the existing septic tank. This required the removal of the septic tank concrete cover slab and internal brick partition wall.
As with all sewage treatment plant installations Mantair conducts, the Tricel Novo sewage treatment plant was installed with a concrete surround to protect the structural integrity of the tank. It was also necessary to have a ‘concrete’ finish at ground level to reinstate this area of the garden to its original condition. The air blower for the Tricel Novo was installed within a remote underground housing with an independent RCD protected power supply being installed from the property to this housing.
Prior to the project being completed the local Building Control officer inspected the works, approved all elements of the project and issued a Building Notice Certificate.
On completion of the ancillary works, we commissioned this sewage treatment plant installation in Essex, including setting of air valves, checking all pipe work joints and viewing the discharge into the receiving watercourse.
